Barely a day after troops killed the most wanted criminal in Benue, Terwase Akwaza, popularly called Gana, the governor of the state, Samuel Ortom, has given other armed militia members the last chance to surrender their arms.

Governor Ortom gave this window of grace during his reception of some youths who have allegedly terrorised the entire Sankera geopolitical zone and even Benue Northeast senatorial district, TVC reports.

The governor revealed that his call for surrender was influenced by calls from well-meaning Benue residents who have asked for the criminals to be given a chance through the amnesty programme.
