FCT, Abuja - A member of the House of Representatives from Jigawa state, Isa Dogonyaro, has died.
The first-time lawmaker, who was the vice chairman of the House Committee on HIV/AIDS and Malaria control in the 10th Assembly, reportedly died on Friday morning in Abuja after a brief illness.

The house expressed deep sorrow over the federal lawmaker's demise, saying the distinguished member had well represented the good people of Babura/Garki Federal Constituency of Jigawa State in the 10th Assembly.
Rotimi disclosed that the lawmaker passed away on Friday morning, May 18, after a short illness in Abuja.

The late lawmaker, elected on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform, was described as a dedicated legislator committed to his constituents and the country.
The statement reads in part:
“Hon. Isa Dogonyaro was a detribalised patriot who was very jovial as much as he was an intellectual. He built strong bonds of friendship with Honourable Members from all parts of the country. He is survived by his wives and children.“In this moment of grief, our thoughts and prayers are with his family, constituents, colleagues, and the people of Jigawa state. We pray for strength and comfort for all who mourn his passing. Reps stop CBN's cybersecurity levy
Legit.ng earlier reported that the House of Representatives had issued a restriction order to the CBN on implementing the cybersecurity levy.
According to the lawmakers, the Cybersecurity Act specifically mentioned those who should pay the levy, but the CBN circular did not mention them.
The Reps directed that the CBN should withdraw the circular to banks as it has created apprehension among Nigerians and issue another one in compliance with the law.
